iGeo Weekend - October 13–15, 2011iGeo is a three-day program to introduce motivated and talented under-representated high school juniors and seniors to the Geosciences. The program lets prospective students explore educational opportunities and exposes them to college life. Participants in the iGeo program meet other high school students from throughout the state as well as current Geosciences students and faculty. See the photo gallery from our 2010 program.
Students experience college life firsthand by rooming with current Geosciences students in residence halls. The iGeo Weekend Program ends with a tailgate celebration and attendance at a home football game. Get the scoop on admission, scholarships This program is free to students thanks to the sponsorships of Marathon Oil and the College of Geosciences. Approximately 12 to 15 students are selected to participate in iGeo each fall. Successful applicants receive room, meals and supplies. Mileage reimbursement to and from College Station may be available on an as-needed basis. iGeo applications for 2011 are now closed. Check with us next year! |
